Archbishopric of Riga

Sede Vacante, 1479-1484

The coat of arms of the Archbishopric of RigaThe small coat of arms of Riga cityThe coat of arms of Riga domcapital

The only coins struck during the period of Sede Vacante were pfennigs and schillings. They were not dated, but can be recognized by the crossed sceptre and cross - the coat of arms of the Archbishopric, crossed keys - the small coat of arms of Riga city or lily - the coat of arms of Riga domcapital.
It is assumed, that coins with the coats of arms of the Archbishopric and Riga city were joint mintage of these authorities. But coins with the coats of arms of the Archbishopric and Riga domcapital were joint mintage by these two authorities.
Mint: Riga.
